Here is my most up-to-date progress of my nearly-completed (except for a few minor details) Reconstruction of Arwen's Arch Dress, as of March 5, 2005... I've needed to create a second construction page, because of the number of photos I want to put up, and because this dress has been rather involved... Details on construction up to this point can be found on my first Arch Dress Construction Page...
I have modified the sleeve pattern, and the pattern modification can be found in my pattern section on my first Arch Dress Construction Page...

May 25, 2005... I have attached the toggles for the train-hitch, And I started the mantle, creating a new page for the mantle construction details... (Link to Arch Mantle Construction here...) I'll keep logging my progress with photos...
June 17, 2005: I drafted an alternative Elven Drop Belt, using the trim from the Mantle, and logged photos of it at the bottom of the Arch Mantle Construction page...
August 11, I was photographed wearing the Dress... I'm loading the Portraits Page now...

There was no mantle depicted in the movie to go with this gown... but I thought I would make one in case it is cool... and I have a good match in velvet...
May 25, 2005... I have since found the most fabulous trim, and rediscovered a perfect antiqued crinkled periwinkle gold satin that I had in my stash... and begun construction of the mantle to go with this dress... Construction details are logged on my Arch Mantle Construction Page... And below is a glimpse of how it looks up close...
So, Now what is left to do, is to finish up the mantle... (Details to be found on theArch Mantle Construction Page ) And, as I still have some of this trim left, I may also make an alternative belt with it... Not that I would discard the gold belt, but so that I have a number of ways to wear the gown... And to wrap it up, I will need to get photographed wearing the gown! :)
June 17, 2005: I have completed an alternative Elven Drop Belt, and have put up photos of how it looks on the dress, with and without the Mantle, along with the shape laid out flat...The photos are on my Arch Mantle Construction Page, the bottom quarter of the page, but here is a glimpse of how it looks...
Now, finally, all that's left to do is to get photos wearing it!! :)
Right before Easter, 2005, I was able to attach the hitch jewels to the train, and decided to rig this one up differently than the hitch for the Lavender Bead Gown... I was not able to get it photographed until May 25, 2005, as I've been very busy with other projects up until now... Here are some photos of the gown, with the belt slightly reworked in the back, and showing how it looks hitched up...
